Despite the long and forced break, work on the project did not stop. Technologies are rapidly developing and newopportunities are emerging. From the very beginning, Project Ixtlan set the goal of making a series based on the books by Carlos Castaneda. Even four years later after the release of the first episode "The Spot", we are still receiving a lot of positive feedback. The most frequently asked question is: “When is the next episode coming out?”
Today we want to share with you our vision for the development of the Project Ixtlan!
Unfortunately, we must admit that the idea of filming a series using classical methods is not possible for us. The main reason is the lack of a large budget that would allow hiring the necessary actors and specialists from different areas of film production.
However, thanks to the leaps and bounds in real-time computer graphics and artificial intelligence, new methods of filmmaking have emerged. In this regard, we decided to completely transfer the filming process to computer graphics, namely to the Unreal graphics engine. This is the only way we can get by with relatively small financial resources and create the images of heroes we need. This time everything should be different!

special equipment and actors, from whom facial expressions and body movements will be recorded. Subsequently, the recorded animation will be transferred to the virtual characters, which will give them the necessary realism.
From
previous donation, we were able to create several virtual sets and buy some filming equipment.
The
current task is purchasing a motion capture suit and gloves.
MetaHuman in Unreal Engine is a technology that allows designers and artists to create digital human characters with astonishingly realistic appearance and movement.
